It's interesting that both cars manuals are wrong.

If you look at the 2013 MY manual on Topix under Eco Stop/Start it refers to D, R and N as gearbox settings when it will work. Eco Stop/Start is not available on an auto Freelander (yet) and manuals don't have D. R and N.

Errors and omissions excepted on the end of a paragraph marked important, I bet there's loads in there.

The mirror heaters do indeed only operate with the HRW. As Tom Jones might say, it's not unusual. Many other cars are similar.

mine were misted again this morning so this time i tried the hrw and the mirrors cleared and they were warm to the touch yesterday they did not clear even though i used the wipers half a dozen times or more,
