Rust in the doors?

I've just found a patch of rust bubbling the paint near the middle of the rear passenger door. I'm a bit shocked, I don't live near the ocean and it hasn't happened to any other cars I have had here. I wasn't expecting that. It's a 2008 TD4 with extended warranty.

My guess would be that it has had a spot repair in paint shop when it was built and the electro dip paint has been sanded down to bare metal. If it is still in warranty take it back to land rover and see if they will repair it.

As I said, I have extended warranty. I also have a stuck fuel gauge at the moment, won't go over half way. It's been like that since I went in to get the warranty repair on the squealing power steering pump a few weeks back. I'm thinking of selling it. Very Happy The car is trying to tell me something...

are the drain holes in the bottom of the door blocked? have seen older cars with this issue when they start rusting from the inside out
