Chatted with a (another) very decent LR dealer today. He advised me to wait and watch FL2 trade-ins over the next couple of weeks, due to new reg.

My current car (Merc-Benz C220 cdi) was first registered in Feb. 2011. New it would have cost around £32k. Dealer I bought it from recently offered £15k for it. 18mths, £17k depreciation. Not pretty but a very good reason to buy a used Merc-Benz, which is still under original mfrs warranty, has 11k on the clock, not a scratch on it and which runs perfectly at around 55mpg. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends |

Depreciation of new cars is phenominal for all makes. Some are better, some worse but none are good!

Always worth remembering LR residuals are seasonal...buy in the summer and sell in the depths of winter to get the best. |
