United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey
1st mod :)

well had my Freelander for 3 weeks now and the 1st mods happened today, and I'm really happy with the results, I've swapped out the under mirror puddle bulbs, the under door puddle bulbs and the footwell bulbs for some nice white SMD's in my opinion looks MILES better than the yellow glow, and they are much brighter, just need it to get dark now to see full effect Smile

Hi there, glad to hear you are pleased with the results. On the subject of minor mods, you have probably considered this already. Basically, the standard headlight bulbs are crap and so I purchased some Halfords Ultra Brilliance +120% bulbs and they are superb and have made a huge difference.

I can also tell you that these bulbs made the sidelights look a dingy yellow colour so I bought these as well: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-8-LED-501-T1...4239206787

Not only do they look better generally but they look smarter than aftermarket running lights IMO if you fancied leaving them on in daylight Very Happy (I don't but I just thought I'd mention it.)

Very happy with my standard headlights on my 56 HSE, think they the HID types that turn into the corners. Side lights look rubbish by comparison, will try those mentioned thanks.

The LEDs on Doc's link are a straight swap, BUT note the have a + and - side unlike the wedge unit you take out so you have to get the polarity right, you only have two choices, but me I got it wrong Rolling with laughter , well worth doing Thumbs Up 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Do you need 4 of these bulbs? 2 for dipped and 2 for main beam?

Hi there,

I just bought 2 for dipped beam. Main beam was ok but normal lights were crap. The LED sidelights are superb!
