Wouldn't it be great if the insurance company could get away with writing to him and saying "Dear Sir, please find attached your quote that reflects your drink driving charge. Chew on that mother fu er!" LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I presume the extra premium goes straight into the insurance company coffers, or does it go into a pool fund to help those who were the victims of drunk drivers? 09 FL2 HSE auto Lago Grey

ban em for life i say but offenders would go to the European courts and say this sentence is against there human rights but what i would like to see is that when they get there licence back part of getting it back is that they attend an alcohol awareness program and must do so for the next two years and if found to be taking alcohol again

To play devil's advocate here, the money is charged as a reflection of the greatly increased risk that the driver now represents, having now proven that they can't leave the booze alone when they're driving. We'd have every reason to be hacked off if that increased risk were to be spread amongst everyone else's (our) premiums |
