Same model, just over 4 years old, condition average, needed 2 new tyres, windscreen chipped, 68K miles, grumbling rear axle and service due. £12k + £2k of the list price for a new one. Prog rock is cool! |

Trade in value looks about right for this time of year as you've the winter price premium is over for the year now - you'd get more selling it privately circa £17K which is the true value for a calculation on depreciation. Taking the easy route as we almost all do by trading in when we buy a new one means you'll get much less as dealer will be looking to make a minimum of £3k on the buy price off you - a dealer would have it on the forecourt for around £18.5K with 12 months LR warranty.

Very true...that's one reason I don't buy brand new! I don't get money back from the taxman as I have to use my own money to buy cars |

I used my own money to buy it, then had the opportunity to go self employed which worked out very well |

Why not pm James at LPR, might be able to put a deal together, on trade in and the price of the RRS |

Indeed I think that is quite good. cars depreciate which shouldn't be a shock to people - the older they are and the more miles on the clock the less they are worth. New cars generally don't increase too much year on year so the older cars have to fall in line. The good news is FL2s have some good residuals in comparison to many - especially if you sell when it's snowing! |
