My 4 Bikes and caravan on back.

Hi
It took me ages to find a bike rack that would carry 4 bikes and still be able to tow the caravan. I dont have roof rails and dont like bikes on the roof anyway. I had also tried the Maxxraxx but thought it was just too much weight and leverage on the towbar and not enough vertical clearance without the extension piece.
This is a Hollywood F4, They state it does not fit the FL2 but when i questioned that they said that is because in the US all FL2 have a spoiler which will not work.
I have no connection with Hollywood. Just trying to help. Thumbs Up

The photos with the caravan show the tightest turn you would want to make and still plenty of clearance.

Well done, looks okay.
I would keep an eye on the hinge mountings for the tail gate, I have seen bike racks before actually shear tail gate hinge pins or the welds as its a lot of additional weight bouncing up and down !
Good luck

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Hi

Personally I would be a little worried about putting all of that weight on the rear screen. Maybe the roads in your part of the world are smoother than those in mine! I know how much my 1.25 inch tube bike rack flexes!

Good luck

The bottom of the rack sits on the bumper where the most weight is directed. The top and side straps are just stopping it from falling backwards. Dont want to put oily bikes in my brand new caravan and only using on road.
