Hi, towbars are not my thing but there is a guy on here called ' Chicken George ' who will offer lots of advice in that area Also, lots of previous threads too.

it wouldn't be factory fit, but fit by the supplying dealer

Thanks npinks, so I guess it would be fair to presume that the LR dealer doesn't adjust the parking sensor to take into consideration the extra sticking out bit.

i have my towbars done by the dealer, the distance the sensors pick up at doesn't seem to have changed, when i reverse into my drive the car is just as close on continuous tone to the fence with or without a towbar

if your diff whistles and whines then you can safely say the towbar has been used At work
