It's the Volvo luggage rack. It’s at that angle so that skis strapped to it will clear the roof when it’s up!

1996 300tdi 90, and funnily enough the car that's going to replace the Freelander will be a 1995 110.

Spin one of those ski racks 180°, screw it to the bonnet & attach your fishing rods! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Before the Freelander, I had a Saab NG90 convertible from 96. The Citroen C4 my father in law foisted on us when we got married doesn't count. I found myself in the cash in 2015. So bought the car of my dreams. A second hand Freelander. It was totalled last year. I can't replace it (yet!) - but I will. Canada 2013 LR2 2.0T HSE Auto Firenze Red

Always had a few cars in the stable..
But in addition to my sedan, we had a Subaru full size wagon. Really liked that vehicle for what is was.
Interestingly, it was a replacement for a vehicle that we held in high esteem, but the manufacturer didn’t (much like LR and the LR2). The Toyota Corolla 4wd wagon. You wouldn’t believe the off road places we took that camping... even places with mud or snow above the axles!! Guy Pensa

1951 Riley RMD (Black, time for that restoration)

I think you could just attach your rods the way it is. I’m not a fisherman but I understand the river in the picture offers good fishing. Any guesses as to what river and whereabouts on it?

Hi all, I started my driving days with a 10 year old Morris 1300. A 10 year old car then was a very old car. Then
Rover 2.0L twin carb
Nissan Sunny (good engine, but would rust while polishing it. Door mirror fell off)
XR2 mk 1 (fun car)
BMW 316 (reliable / boring)
BMW 325 sport ( wow! back end too light)
BMW estate Diesel
X type estate (build quality shocking)
Mitsubishi Outlander Warrior (Lovely machine. Diesel low millage killed it. Developed algae in fuel lines)
Now Freelander 2 SE (love it!)

Have to say that's a stunning colour for the Freelander Bondermark, don't think I've ever seen one that shade before.
Certainly makes a nice change from the general boring colours. Andrew

My Freelander didn’t replace anything, it’s there to help with the garden and so the love of my life can hibernate in ice and snow Smile
