Is it possible to get 'good as factory finish' privacy glass

Im contemplating having the rears done but dont want something that looks tacky with more bubbles than an aero.

Has anyone any experience of after market tinting

Pinky has film tints and it looks a 'proper job' not quite as tidy as factory glass as the aerial wires and a few other things are not as well hidden but close enough Thumbs Up Not sure how long the film lasts but I guess it depends how long you are planning on keeping the car At work

As most insurance policies cover replacement of glass without touching your no claims, if the unfortunate happened you could always ask for them to fit factory finished privacy glass (and off course pay the difference to your glass suplier)

Thanks CG Embarassed

My dealer did it as part of the deal when we negotiated buying the car, can not see any bubble at all, but the aerials are orange instead of grey with OEM glass Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tambora Flame

I had mine done with a local company, as my car was pre registered so I didn't have the factory fit option, it was a lot cheaper and came with a 5 year guarantee which covers bubbling or peeling. I've had it on for a year now with no problems. The future's bright, the future's........Tambora Flame!!! Thumbs Up

I was going to be £350 for glass, but wait 3mths or £350 for film.

I took the glass as kids toys may damage the film. 08 FL2 SE TD4 manual,Santorini Black, Factory fitted Black Tinted Glass, Anti-Tesco Trolly Side Protection, bebe confort axiss carseats & Cargo barrier to stop twin's buggy & junk coming through. NO Sweets Crisps or Drinks inside.

I know what you mean about the possiblity of damaging the film

Although i haven't have any problems, when Master P is sat in his chair chasing a dinosaur up the window, i get shivers down my back.

And the occassional tip run with bags of twigs had to be packed carefully Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
