United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Ive searched Ebay and come up with hundreds of options for HID kits, many giving anti Canbus error.
.
I was just hoping that a member might have recently bought and installed HID conversions and know a makers name and if they were happy with the installation.
.
My headlights are facelift projectors with the H11 dip beam. the plastic reflectors list UK / EU / HID etc so I know that bit is fine.
.
Can anyone with a facelift car tell me the bulb types and ratings for the HID xenon application?, My handbook is earlier so I can't look)
.
Kind regards from Fred 2010GS Auto ex Celeb, Santorini Black, 2011 facelift , spoiler, spats, mudflaps, LED footwell lamps, Witter detach,

Have you actually found a H11 xenon kit that is EU compliant.
I did find one conversion kit the other day, don't recall exactly where though, may have been HID's4U or similar, but they were listed as being for show / off road use only.
They were 4000k/5000k from memory.
I must admit I'm missing the xenon's of my last Freelander, and would agree with people who don't think much of the standard projector lights.

Aftermarket xenon kits

I had a personal message from a member asking about fitting aftermarket Zenon kits, I answered
.Hi,
Don't think of doing it!!!!!
.
If you search elsewhere on the forum you should find more notes from me.
Yes I installed for two days and then took the kit out.
.
The 'burn' point of the aftermarket xenon is in the wrong position for the halogen chrome reflector, the beam was both pencil and yet it had scattered beams which dazzled oncoming traffic.
.
The factory xenon chrome reflector parabolic is of different profile.
.
Please don't waste your money.
.
I've got Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs in now and are delighted with the result.
.
End quote.
.
It's many months now that I went thro the heartache of buying an aftermarket kit.
My considered opinion is still 'don't buy aftermarket Xenon kits'
.
Either buy the real LR headlamps and have the ECU reset or buy Nightbreaker Unlimited; I'm very pleased with them.
.
Hope this helps, kind regards from Fred
