The weather is too nice down here. There's a serious drought, it looks like it's going to be the worst in decades. In Madrid for instance, if it doesn't rain in the next 7 days we'll get the driest three months since 1859

About the plates I'm not really sure if it's necessary, but in theory they could clone your plates and used them on another robbed white Freelander (that's not much of an issue, since they can also do that when you drive down the main street). Also they can access some of your personal information (address and others) if they know your license plate number, it's not straightforward but it can be done. I'm not sure if I want anyone knowing my address...
