Picking up from the comments in the 'SMUG LOOK ON MY FACE' topic, I have completed another day helping out with Peak 4x4 (no flashing lights involved )

The local council provide a certain amount of compensation so you record your mileage per job and pass it to the team leaders. Not sure what it will be as these were my first call outs but you can enquire with the yorkshire 4x4 group assuming it would be them you would join LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |

I've also been considering this, where do you stand with insurance? i take it cover will have to be extended to account for this and there is also the risk of loosing your no claims.

There is cover as part of a nationwide scheme so providing you inform the team leader/controller when you set off and arrive etc, you are covered. I rang AXA and cos it's voluntary (not hire or reward as they say), they aren't bothered anyway
