>> Isn't your question driven by your own xenophobia. Rule Britannia eh what Arguably a question, even if no ? - but comes across as an assertion
>> xenophilius: a liking for things foreign and attracted to foreigners xenophilia: a liking for things foreign; being attracted to foreigners I'm sure Harry Potter would agree Anyway, I'm off out now. Athelstan,,
and
I am not sure how else i could describe drivers from other lands other then foreign maybe i should have said anyone notice cars coming off the ferries at Dover that were not registered in the UK that didn't have beam benders fitted. i am not sure if you have ever been on a Dover ferry, sound not but there must be around 600 to 1000 cars on board so as you navigate your way to the custom block you have about ten minutes to see a lot of cars both side of you, yes, four lanes of traffic. So we are not talking 20 odd cars and a couple of hand cart car ferries that you have on your Swiss Lakes, that i expect you are more used to seeing. . |

holiday time = good food and plenty of wine = no night time driving = no need for beam benders.

Sadly, no excuse. The Gendarmes insist that our lights are blocked all of the time whilst in their beloved country! Best bet is just to place a bit of black insulation tape on each light. I don't think you'll be escorted to a testing station for them to be properly examined. Stand to be corrected though. |

Brian you stick to your Harry Potter and Wikipedia and I'll stick to the Greek language. Out of the three only two have a 100% substantive track record.

As Junior has already stated I am from Derbyshire, by ancestry from the Pecsaetan Mercian tribe. I have ridden and driven motor vehicles for over 40yrs and during that time have used many of Britain's car ferry ports. The last time I drove through Dover was on the 22nd October following a FreeL2 meet at the Halewood factory. Clearly some folks need to not only broaden their mind set but also their experiences. |

That's the point surely? It's not English. The accepted form in English is xenophilia. Brian MY11 FL2 SD4 GS Extras to same spec as XS apart from the Satnav, plus Xenons. Ipenema Sand, Ebony. |

The trouble with quoting Wikipedia is that most of it seems to be B0LLOC0KS, Just like this forum if some one says its true other halfwits believe it. Best to quote The Oxford English dictionary? Which seems to suggest the opposite of Xenophobe is Xenophile Xenophily/ia seemingly is a madeup word in science fiction refering to Humans that F@ck Extraterrestials |
