After my Night Breakers collapsed (also in Gloucestershire) I’m looking at LED bulbs. I have a 2014 FL2 with projector (single filament) lenses. Not the latest ones, since I have the option to raise and lower the light beam on a knurled wheel on the dashboard.

Don't you just hate it when a newbie asks a question and doesn't bother acknowledging you. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

My understanding was that putting an HB3 halogen bulb inside a projector lens light designed for HID was a cost cutting measure by JLR. The projector lens lights simply do not perform well with halogen bulbs and in addition the halogen bulbs get hotter than normal (for a halogen) which reduces their life span. Jules |
