in general I am not a fan of chipping for extra power, but last Sunday I was blown away by a Ford C Max, and wished then I had a wee bit more power !!

I can't find a C MAX with a bigger engine than 140PS but with it being lighter on it's feet it will be more nimble.

You are right EY, C-Max is only 140PS, I looked at S-Max, freelander should keep up with C-Max as the figures are not startling, unless it was chipped or indeed an S-Max? |

Had my 07 auto done with a custom remap last year at about 30k miles - gave it a new lease of life and I have never regretted it. Don't see much (if any) MPG improvements but it shifts along much better |

I had my '07 FL2 done last year and it was the best thing I ever did. Loads more grunt and I get an extra 5 mpg!! |

Superchips is probably the best re-map available for FL2, it also comes with Bluefin which allows you to swap and change.

Your not entirely correct about Superchips. Superchips themselves are based in Buckingham and are dedicated software writers. All the different places you can get your superchips installed are as you say, a franchise. But ALL the re-mapping is done by Superchips themselves in Buckingham. A franchised dealer will read the file from the customers car, send it to superchips, they then re-write it and send it back to the dealer to install. Different Superchips dealers have different customer service. Thats why I have always dealt directly with Superchips. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
