Sometimes when i have the FM radio on and switch the air-con on i get interference.

Can't see this having anything to do with air conn. The additional electrical load when this is switched on is the compressor clutch solenoid (very low current) and the cooling fans (high current). Due to the increased load, the only noise you should hear, if any, is the alternator 'whine' due to increased ac voltage ripple every 120 degrees of alternator rotation. In any case most of this is inaudable on FL2. If you could hear it, it would be heard through all the speakers as a whine, not a 'crackle'.

I just get interference not noise like the radio station dial has moved of a bit, switch air-con off crystal clear again
