Good comment PastMaster - so not only do Supermarkets deliver poor quality diesel (But to the approved standard, obviously Rolling Eyes ) they also under deliver by volume Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Even so, with Sainsbury's giving me 10p a litre discount at the moment (so long as the wife spends £60.00 in the shop) AND ½p per litre on the loyalty card AND 1% cashback on my credit card, I'm still buying their diesel! Wink

Perhaps the specs vary from the UK, but my Freelander has a 70 litre capacity tank as standard - I once got 67 litres into it, far too close for comfort!

The fuel tank on all models is 70 litres. However, according to the Freelander section of the LandRover website the usable capacity is 68 litres.

Stupidly let mine get to 0 miles and had to drive approx 6 miles for fuel, it drove in reduced power mode but for the last 2 mile was coughing and jerking also would only drive in 2nd gear, It took 70.29 litre to fill it to the brim,
Definately won't let that happen again Embarassed
