From memory, the tyres should be V rated, unless you have 16" wheels, when the OEM tyres are H rated. |

17 inch wheels can be either 104H or 108V.

Looked on Michelin website which recommends both V and H for Freelander2.

H means 130 MPH (210 km/h) max. speed capability

My contract hire company or their appointed tyre fitters, Kwik Fit, will not allow me to specify H rated replacement tyres as Land Rover specify V rated tyres for vehicles with rims of 17" or over.

Maybe to make sure you'll get a quality tire for a car that is quite heavy and sometimes go off-road too...

Maximum specified speed is 124 MPH (200 KPH) for gasoline and 112 MPH (181 KPH) for diesel.

There are loads of owners on this forum who have A/T tyres fitted. And Mich website says H is okay.
