The loud bang when pulling away and then seeming to drive normally can be a failure of the splined coupling between the gearbox and power transfer unit.
It happened on mine shortly after I bought it ...

I had a similar problem to this a couple of years ago. When I checked underneath I found that the circlip was missing and the actuator arm was just flapping around. I checked it was all still free to ...

[quote]I've been looking a Pug one in ebay but wasn't sure? It would seem that the same manifold is in a few different cars?[quote]

Yes, possibly Ford Mondeos and others as well. Apparently mine wa ...

Could you not just fit the later manifold without the flaps?

That's what I did, the replacement manifold came from a scrapped Peugeot - same part numbers moulded into it as the Land Rover manifolds ...

I assume that's possible without a big external power supply.
It depends on how quickly you can do what you need to do - as Nodge mentioned, with the ignition on it will be drawing around 10 amps and ...

Gasman, a large battery charger is better than nothing - ideally you want something with a smooth voltage of 13-14 volts. If the supply is "noisy" there are concerns that it can corrupt the ...

You could do that but you might be running it for some time! The first time I used it I only had a 10A supply which just about coped. I've since bought a 13.8V 20 amp supply which seems fine, even for ...

I think we have followed the same path MotionInc, I linked to that thread back on page 1 Very Happy .
The only difference in our set ups is that I don't have a SSD drive yet but I agree that V.130 runs fine ...

Nodge, I've found the 32 bit installer package that I used for mine (yes, I'm pretty sure it's a Mongoose clone as well) and if you pm me an email address I will send it to you to try. As MotionInc sa ...

It's a pity if you can't make use of the cable - I don't remember having any driver issues with V.130 but it's a while since I set it up now. I will see if I can figure it out but what MotionInc said ...

I've got a spare 6G91-12A650-AE that you can have to try cloning if you like although you will need to get the SDD issue sorted. I did it by setting up a virtual machine on my laptop which runs Window ...

I can't vouch for this seller but they list a Mongoose clone for £31 here: https://www.cartool.co.uk/wholesale/v159-jlr-mangoose.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw5p_8BRBUEiwAPpJO6_rLm-LzNqHnkqgl47_qqkxLN_JGgTcyaQZ ...
