I've driven around 15.000Km and have never seen a message about the DPF - I drive mostly Autobahn - is it cleaning itself with high speed driving? Which driving condition clogs up the DPF more?

I think that in Germany they are compulsory.
Correct! I've never seen the DPF Full message though, perhaps because I mainly drive on the Autobahn.
