Just a thought, if you select sand mode does it still have the flat spot, if not then it may be a programming issue.

Twoddle about the clutch can't cope...more like Land Rover don't offer it as a manual because people who can't drive will find it easier to detroy clutches quicker. BMW do the same on the 335d
