I once followed a Kuga along a roughish track and the FL2 appeared to cope with it much better than the Kuga.

isn't the Kuga heavily based on the FL2 underneath ? Due to Fords ownership etc ?
I believe (but could be wrong) but the 2 litre petrol engine in my Kuga is the same as the SD4 engine. I understan ... |

FYI, this was fixed by replacing the steering lock solenoid.
The whole job cost $1200 which wasn't bad considering the parts were $700 and apparently it needed the steering column removed and the n ... |

He came and spent a good hour on the car!
Checked the battery and cleaned the terminals. He was surprised by the amount of gunk on them and thought that could have been an issue - it wasn't.

No difference following the procedure exactly.
Pretty certain it is the solenoid. Just need to work out how easy it is to access and repair/replace. Topix doesn't seem to be too much help! |
