When I lived in Cardiff I used Promec 4X4 just west of Cardiff near Groes Faen. They had a good reputation and prices were reasonable.

Have you checked the security of you battery and also the earth lead and its connection to the body. It is worth adding an additional earth lead to the engine/ gearbox if not already done.

I think what insurance companies are trying to avoid is tinted front side windows and windscreen which of course doesn't apply in this case.

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed ?

Think fuel filters came in with MY2011 in the UK.
