| i understand this, as if the cambelt/timingbelt snaps. but in this case, the function of the camshaft are not compromised besides it will not power the high pressure pump. |

Thanks. Not to bee rude, but why is that likely?
The cam turns as normal, just broke where the cam connects to the pump.
