Though the D4 kit requires you to hack away at the grille, something I wasn't all too keen on doing because if I wanted to return to normal, with the FL2 it would mean a whole new front end! Shocked

The bracket is from Lazer, pre drilled holes, self tapping screws and a little silicone adhesive for good measure.

It is more than adequate for fastening, rigid for the weight of lamp, no vibratio ...

Correct, it's taking power straight from the battery, with a relay from the main beam telling it to 'switch on'.

Yes, I have tapped into the Yellow/Orange wire, which is the main beam wire.

If I put the front rail further forward, it will 'belly the tent out' on the longitudinal rails and will also make the base sit uneven.

I would aesthetically prefer it a few inches further back, though the spoiler gets in the way of the canopy poles.

No issues with them, they have been fine for a few long distance trips I've done so far.
Though I fitted them almost an hour after purchasing it, so have nothing to compare to! Laughing

No wonder your rack gets knackered with 140kg up there!! I thought the dynamic load limit was about 75kg?! Shocked
