I have exactly the same noise but I reckon as it only happens when I start off after the engine has been started the vibration through the pedal is the self test of the ABS system.
 Should I expect this level of rust already? (Pics)

I'd be a bit sceptical about a Waxoyl type treatment given the possible temperatures that some parts of the system can reach. Maybe someone else has some better info.
