Thanks SYFL2. Yes, I always double-lock but only do short journeys these days which always makes me worry about how well the battery is getting re-charged. |

I replaced the standard speakers with those from the higher spec alpine system. Made a huge difference
I might well do that as well, but I do miss the sub I had in my old car! |

is the splice a feed for an amp?
Yes Taz, it'll be to feed the speaker-level inputs of a small amp to drive the sub. |
