Swapped out rear diff and rear O/S bearing (surprisingly easy jobs with no seized bolts).

Just keep uncovering more new noises to address! Moving on to the rest of the bearings

From my understanding the drop in revs / tone of the engine is the AC clutch kicking in. So it sounds like you need a regas which may or not uncover a leak in your ac system. Also check that the conde ...

Mines recently developed a whine when accelerating from cold. Goes away once warmed up but haven’t been able to pin point it.
 Non start... Turns 3-4 times then gives a screeching noise

Had a similar screeching situation but with a diesel. Think it is the starter and low battery. Mine went away after a battery recharge

Recommend genuine power steering hoses when you do get stuck into that and order well in advance as some bits aren’t always in stock, I learnt the hard way with after markets (allmakes).

Changed the power steering pipes and reservoir. High pressure hose disconnecting under pressure putting it down to cheap parts so hopefully originals will resolve.

Have you checked the battery? HDC fault sometimes comes one when the battery is low

With the membrane I put in and the paint between them (same way the heat shield is fixed in the first place) I’ll take my chances. In any case the aluminium will corrode 1st if there is an issue.
