Hi all, I had both my wishbones replaced in Feb 2017. Mot advisory. Local dealer. Cost me £350 which was £125 each for the WB and £100 labour. All including VAT. This was at 114k.

Hi, I contacted the makers of the blanking plates I bought on eBay and asked about seals.

They replied that none was required but suggested maybe a smear of copper slip on both sides.

I did this ...

Hi, I have seen other posts where pieces of the brass rod have been found in the pipe below the throttle body. If I remember correctly, there was no noticeable damage done to the engine. Fingers cross ...

Just for more info. Does the engine stop quickly and quietly when you turn off? If it runs on a bit and judders to a stop then I would change it.

Hi, noise is normal but 15 minutes would seem too long. On my one it lasts maybe 30s before shutting down. Possibly a faulty throttle body. ?

Hi all, quick update on swirl flap removal.

12 months on and sailed through MOT on emissions (unfortunately required a new offside front drop link on an advisory).

Hi, not sure if it's relevant but mine used to do this, especially when cold, before I blanked the EGR. Never done it since.

Just a thought on this. It could also be one/both of the anti roll bar drop links. Would clunk over bumps and possibly give a loose drive.

Replaced both drop links recently after an advisory from M ...

HI, there is a thin blue wire that goes from a cable loom to the starter motor. This is known to wear and corode/break.
Might be worth checking. Look under the bonnet between front of engine and radi ...
