| I never did get to the full cause of the problem and lost complete faith in the car, so sold it and bought a later model HSE LUX instead. |

Just to bring this back on track - I have now downsized to 17's and really pleased with how they have come out.
The 235 / 65 / R17 Grabber AT3 are perfect, good road holding and nice and quiet too

Disagree, that tyre size would not be accurate
Have a look here

You may find that its your speedo head that is out of calibration, not the tyres !! |

Thats good to know they will fit with EPB - thanks !
FYI, the 235/65/17 is as close as you can get to the correct speedo accuracy (0.5%)
but the 245 you suggest would knock it out by around 4% ... |
