chrome is just wrong ! it makes it look like some old japanesse import ! They were all plastered in chrome.
As for the chrome tail pipes they do look like some boy racer bolt on goodie ! I wish they could make a decent looking twin tail pipe conversion in black !

LR already do a twin exhaust, it is fitted on the i6 model, pretty sure Mav71 converted his TD4 ages ago using genuine LR parts

Well - quick update. All things chrome arrived today.

Door handles look good in the box - stamped Land Rover so quite hopefully they will be a good fit. 3M tape and must remember to put the correct on one the passenger door to allow for emergency key hole.

Door mirrors - again official looking LR stamp. On-line shop said - MY11 Freelies have larger mirrors so will send appropriate cover to fit. Labelled as RR10.
Tried them up but there is no way these are right - similar but different shape to the housing so need to contact shop tomorrow. Looks like a complicated job as the ones supplied replace the housing and are not just stick on.

So will be holding off bling for time being until I get this sorted. Can anyone confirm what exact differences are with MY11 /10 mirrors? to older models?

i have read somewhere that the mirrors on the facelift are 10% bigger (presumably in glass area) Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

As Shilen has posted and pointed out to me that they are bigger I haven't seen the old along side the new to compare but the glass area is almost square now, they seemed to have made the glass area higher and lower possibley as the width is still the same and the visor on the top is not so curved now making the fitting of Trailer Mirrors much easier, no need the bend the Aeros now. The main change regarding the covers is the later ones the covers do not fit on the housing as a cap, you need to pry off the old cover using a suitable screwdriver starting where the mirror housing hinges, there was an ebay link to a third party selling them (Thanks to Mcphersonstrut ) with a video on how to remove the old and replace with the new but they have none listed at the moment.

Not just the newer ones but more expensive ones. New less expensive ones like mine use the older design.

Isopropyl alcohol, should be readily available from the chemist.

I just used white spirit to clean mine before sticking on the bezels.

Nail Polish remover works well

White spirit sounds good - not sure about nail polish remover - sounds a bit agressive??

Part number on the 'upmarket' door mirror covers for higher spec FL2 My11 on are same as RR2010.
VPLMB 0041 and these do replace the back of the housing. There's always a way forward!
