Turkey 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Stornoway Grey

Once with the previous car I got stuck in mud. After the trip I spent close to an hour jetwashing the car at tankstation, maybe washed aprox half ton of mud of the car, and another half ton from underside.

Then I gave the car to a detailed car wash for underbody washing etc.

After al this treatment the car sat on the parking lot for a week while I was away, and it had rained on it. When I got back the parking lot was covered with aprox. 2-3 cm of mud as the shape of the car.

Mud is quite a pain to remove from underside of a car, but it does not brake anything. Thumbs Up

Make sure they check the cooling channels inside brake discs for mud. Wink 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

Surely as it is sold by them as an off-road vehicle than they can't refuse to repair it because it has been used for its intended purpose.

If so I may aswell of brought a CRV, Mazda or any other of the cars that actually admit that the vehicle is best not used off-road.

Wouldn't trade descriptions come into place.

Obviously it hasn't been used above its limitations, it is just mud after all. You could get plenty of that if you take a wrong turn in the country.

It's not going off road that damages the car its the coming together of rock and the underside of the vehicle.
The Doctor probably seen a sign saying 'no vehicles' and thought "I know, I'll have a drive down there" Laughing

For once I checked things out properly and it was certainly just mud. I can't wait to find out what it is now, no matter how insignificant it may turn out to be. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

We feel sorry for all you Yorkshire folk who have "no caravans". We will all bring our caravans to Yorkshire to make you feel better. Very Happy

There's a lovely spot for vanners on the banks of the 'Swale', quiet and relaxed, a real family location. Just one thing that spoils it so I heard and it's this drunken, abusive guy crawling home via a shortcut from the local pub that's just re-opened. Some say he's a local farmer and has been found on many a morning amongst the crops shouting manically about vanners, something to do with his application for a CL site being turned down. Laughing
