England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Stornoway Grey

Not me but my youngest helming off Durdle Door at 7.5kts whilst towing. Yes we did go swimming (12 dec C) and got sunburnt, ate too much and drank just a little. Stepping off this into a FL2...

BBQ are great for getting your hands covered in soot, clothes stinking, wasting 30mins whilst the coals go white

were as CADAC gas is quick, cleaner and just what you need

get gas it modern, or do you like rubbing sticks together to make FIRE Razz Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Rolling with laughter Black! No man with taste would have Black!
I think Lago is a compromise with Stornoway and Black and just as hard as Black to keep clean.

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
Hands covered on soot - No, instant lighting bags Thumbs Up
Wasting 30 mins while... - No, more drinking time Thumbs Up
Cadac = Gas
Cooker/oven in the van = Gas, therefore no difference - so why not just drag your cooker outside Laughing

Good idea, but restrict it to "Show Your Tow" behind a Freely only, we don't want argiculture littering the thread Whistle

I spent Easter weekend on the CC site at Moreton in Marsh, very nice. Plenty other other FL2's about!

On the great gas v coals debate, I do tend to use the Cadac, but occasionally buy a diposable BBQ! However, I find it doesn't really matter as long as I have got a cold beer in hand!

petrol + caravan + match Very Happy

Quality british meat (see your local butcher) + charcoal + match Very Happy

gas BBQ's are the most stupid lazy pathetic way of ruining good food, I say good food but if your the sort of guy who buys are gas bbq then you probably shop at iceland or farmfoods so who cares At work
At home

Nothing like the smell of gas in the morning Laughing

bacon and eggs frying on the cadac, them smell wafting through the other vanners open awnings and windows and the sound of people asking the mrs if they have any bacon to cook themselves

Of the sound of zips, windows closing and people choking on the smoke from McP's BBQ Rolling with laughter Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Bacon on a BBQ...possible but not done it yet, carefully laid over the grills ( Idea ) but an egg, nope you've got me on that one Laughing Unless I steal the baking tray from the van and put that over the coals but then it's just the same as cooking on the perfectly good stove inside the van......which is .......just the same as cooking on a cadac Rolling Eyes Rolling with laughter

At least you could bake a few scones on a Cadac, no chance over the grill of a charcoal one Whistle
