Could be dirt on the sensors? Mine stay on when it's very wet, which I assume means the sensors get confused.

Mine has been like that for 3 years since new. Into a tunnel and they come on fine - Once back into sunlight they sometimes go off and sometimes don't. Used to give it 10 secs to decided whether it was gonna work or not.

Given up with them now and reverted to switching them off manually. Turning the ignition off seems to be the only way to re-set.
When mentioned to the dealer they said "Yes they can be a bit hit & miss like that" FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

Mine are always on now and the wipers have seem to have gone mad also??
I think the sensor has gone. Has anyone changed one? If so, how much did it cost?

Before you give up on it try disconnecting the battery and waiting ten minutes before you reconnect it it, seems to solve a few little glitches

I also have the Auto mode on my Xenons but the xenons are always on. The dash lights turn them self on and off according to the level of light outside tho..........
I guess it is programmed like that because of the laws here in Norway.
What lights are on when in Auto and sun outside? Just the park lights? FL2, TD4 HSE

The idea of the Auto setting here in the UK is that you 'set it and forget it'.

So when it gets dark all the lights come on and when it's light the sensor turns them off (normally Laughing )

Not necessarily dipped beam - if the lever is in the main beam position the lights come on main beam. This is to my mind a serious fault.
