What did you do on Easter Sunday

Sandwiches at the seaside! Beats roast beef. Yes, this was today and the kids went swimming, a tad cold.

Spent the day at Thorton hall country farm park, fed the lambs and calfs, then g&t and lunch finishished with a BBQ and watched 9 hot air balloons take off from the next field

We took the Landy out for a run east of Perth. Found an unsealed road to go on then checked out a winery where we plan to dine at one day soon Very Happy
The rest of the day we just stuffed our faces with Easter Eggs Razz

breacon beacons/the best bits/off beaten track.

if u got sun,this is a good day out,starting out north a470 towards merthyr tydfil,go in to merthyr and take the old road/before the bypass was there,passing gyrarthfa park /through cefn coed,as you go over the a465 below you,turn right,keep on this road for 2/3 miles trefechan,head towards ponttsticill,3 nice pubs on the way/drive along after passing 3nd pub,red cow ,and go left,to drive along side pontttsticill res,you see the steam train this side,2 nice picnic areas on thay road but keep on going til you see dead end sign and drive down there,fab veiw between pontstic res and pentwyn res,you drive over a bridge between them,very nice place to stop,we came out of here and turned sharp right towards neuadd res just keep on the road,you wont get lost as its a dead end agian,...,as you go to these you passa nice river/stream with a water fall,plenty of parking there,spent 3 hrs here,had a picnic by waterfall,very nice spot,boys were like pigs in s**t,catching caddis fly nymphs and various creappy crawlies in the stream,and putting them in a jar, seen a brown trout in the pool below water fall.there is car park about 500yds above this point aswell.thats the dead end.you can walk up to neuadd res from here 1/4 of a mile.we came back on the road out off here until you see a sign talybont/taylbont on usk,turn down,passing farmhouse/cream teas,keep on this road towards talybont,,....again you pass stunning scenery,a nice waterfall/this ones sign posted,and u drive along talybont res,noted for wild brown trout fly fishing,...stop on the dam wall for a icecream and injoy the veiw and Sheep and lambs.....keep going towards aber village turn right toward talybont on usk over the breacon/talybont canal.few shops here ,...nice spot again with canal boats going bye.As you go over canal <very narrow. bridge go right mind,few pubs here,keep on this road,canal will be on your right,it goes under the roaad here and there,so dont worrie if it goes out of sight.keep on this road and you drive over canal,...pub on right,again very nice spot,keep on this road b4558 abot 2 miles from that pub and turn right after passing llangynidr,signposted for beaufort b4560,this is the best veiw you see anywhere,........you will drive uphill for a while,...be warned ears will pop when u get up the top,be careful Sheep Sheep Sheep every where,stop get out and take in the veiw.after that head on to beaufort and then left after village,down to next roundabout as no right turn,a465,heads of the valley road towards m.tidfil then a470 cardiff. Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler,rear mudflaps.my13.

Chicken George I own a boarding kennels and cattery so holidays and weekend breaks are out of the question as are bank holidays. We do however take 3 weeks off in November when business quietens down a bit.
