yes your right! I do believe its a bit of pain disconnecting the 2 parts! Other thing to be worried about is the airbag within the upper seat back! Good Luck! |

I would assume if you disconnect the battery the airbags will not deploy so therefore safe to work on.

Are we talking the upper of a back seat (as Junior rightly states no airbags), or, the front seat back upper (caution airbag enclosed)? |

Exactly there is a big difference between a Seat Back and a Back Seat I took the first post to mean 'upper section of the rear seats'. |

Just to confirm it the back rest part of the rear seats. I've removed the two hexheads at the sides (hidden behind plastic covers) but there's no budging the seats. Also removed seatbelt anchor relating to centre seatbelt.

are you trying to remove one half of the rear seat backrest,? Because you need to remove both parts as they connect to each other at the bottom. |
