I was intending to get one of these fitted but the installer said that with this radio the centre speaker will not be muted even with the dedicated cable. Has anyone fitted one to a similar spec car? Any info gratefully received.

I had the CK3100 in my 1st RRS and that had no problems muting all the speakers, I now have the Parrot Asteriod (but is was called something else when I bought it) in my Defender and that also mutes all four speakers. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

I have the Alpine System with 14 speakers which I believe has a separate amp.

I don't use the existing system because it is just a standard audio jack with no control from the wheel.

Yes that right.As far as I am aware using the audio jack the only control you have is from the ipod menu
