There is a reason for that, no other colour changes so much when you put on different coloured lens glasses.

I would have preferred white, but as a contract hire vehicle metallic paint is free, white paint is a cost option! Metallic doesn't actually cost Land Rover any more to paint, it's simply that (by convention) they are able to charge extra for it. However, because it holds a higher residual value that a solid colour (and residual values are vital to contract hire companies), most manufacturers don't charge contract hire companies for metallic paint in order to keep contract hire rates low - hence this weird situation where I couldn't justify the extra cost of white! White is great; it looks great when it's clean and keeps the car cool in the summer - much cooler than silver does. |

Lago Grey is great; conversely it would make sense that dark colours keep the car warm in the winter |

its more likely down to the surface area of the glass, acting like a green house! |

This is something that's very important to me - I more often that not have a border collie with me and it's vital he never gets too hot in the car. A combination of light paint (important), a light coloured interior (very important) and privacy glass (very important) helps a lot. Then there's the perpetual hunt for shade.... |

I know what you mean, our dog goes everywhere with us when on holiday with the van and I believe privacy glass is the most important in helping to keep the interior cool, my first FL2 had it but unfortunately not this one

White is just trendy at the moment. Give it 12 months and then black will take over again when all the 3 and 4 year old white cars start to look scruffy.

Have a look around at all the newish cars on the road, the vast majority are White, Gray or Black. It's just that these colours are popular at the moment Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

+1 about keeping it cool in the summer To be honest, I would rather have had a Grey FL2 but the white one was all that was for sale at the time in my price bracket I've got use to it now though. |

Like you, I didn't exactly choose my colour, I sort of said I'll take any dark colour as long as its available and grey was. I wasn't prepared to wait months. |
