Where can i find CAN bus signal? AV interface on OEM Screen

Hi!
I have just mounted a AV interface in my HSE so that now I have 3 AV inputs and a rearview cam input on my OEM touch screen. Cool
The box says it supports CAN bus control for the Freelander 2 and that I should get this from my DVD navi unit under the seat. It ask for a 2 wires, but I only find the Fiber cable that runs to the DVD unit...........
Any tips?

This is the unit I bought.

The navi DVD unit is indeed, controlled over MOST bus. No CAN bus wires.
However, you can get the medium speed CAN bus signals from the back of the head unit.
In the picture below,
connector C2ME05A,
pin 2 - CAN High
pin 3 - CAN Low

Thanks oracle.
I am not really sure what it will give me to connect the interface to the CAN bus, but maybe I can control the device from the touch screen...?

Landy: This is a Audio Video interface that let's me connect what ever I want to the OEM screen and player.

Below this is my plan setup from GSM. I didn't proceed with the idea coz the touch screen resolution is poor & looking for one better resolution touch screen in the market but no luck.

I got the unit working without using the CAN bus connection. The CAN bus is only for letting you switch input via the touchscreen and I don't take the risk of phuking with this delicate "nerve-system" just for that. I have mounted the sourch input button on the lowest part of the center console on the side so it is hidden but accessible. Smile

I have just tried the interface with a Nexbase DVD player and a DVB-T tuner and it works great.

Next up is to mount the rear view camera...........Any tips to get the wires from the License plate lighting to the taillights. :p
Also I need to connect one wire directly to the 12+ wire on the reverse lights so that the screen changes automatically when I put the car in reverse. Does this cable by chance run past the right passenger seat? Wink FL2, TD4 HSE

I thought one of the purposes of the CAN bus was to pass information throughout the car of things such as which gear the car is in, how fast it is going, how many revs, etc, etc so our smart kit can do fancy stuff like switching to the correct input when certain actions/conditions occur? 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame.

There are two CAN buses on the car. They are bridged inside Central Junction Box.
Any audio/multimedia stuff must be connected on the medium speed CAN bus, because this bus is where audio head unit is connected. The road speed info from high speed CAN is broadcasted over the medium speed CAN bus also.

The high speed CAN bus, 500 kbps, aka drive bus, connecting:
- Central Junction Box (CJB),
- Steering wheel angle sensor,
- Restraints Control Module (RCM),
- Terrain Response control module,
- Electronic rear differential control module,
- Headlamp leveling control module / Adaptive front lighting system control module,
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module,
- Transmission Control Module (TCM),
- Engine Control Module (ECM).

The medium speed CAN bus, 125 kbps, aka convenience bus, connecting:
- Central Junction Box (CJB),
- Fuel fired booster heater,
- Infotainment Control Module (ICM) or Integrated head unit/Integrated control module,
- Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) module,
- Driver door module,
- Passenger door module,
- Seat memory module,
- Trailer module,
- Parking aid module,
- Instrument cluster (Intelligent Drivers Module).

Alex do you know of a way or a product that is compatible with the oem touchscreen? DVD player or media player that can be controlled via the touch screen?
How are the touch signals passed along? Via the MOST? FL2, TD4 HSE
