there was a few corporate do's on yesterday so i am thinking this is going to be similar

looks like they split the group up into teams of about 4 or 5 and each team has a instructor and you are taken to different shooting locations were you a given guidance and fire a few shots off at clays, i think these are then scored if you hit them

the staff are a friendly bunch, well the ones i chatted to are

For those arriving late or not sure on the location, the shooting lodge site is through the carpark, past the LRE, along the road past the LRE play park, and you keep heading along then turn right (2nd right as the first is to a farm) and follow the road round and there is quite a large carpark there

cost us £80 in clays yesterday between the three of us, plus i went through 250 cartridges as i let my brother use them too

With the instruction, gun hire (one gun per group) Cartridges and clays its a fair bit more expensive than going alone with my own gun, but should be a good introduction to those who haven't shot before, Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Another option i have thought about, is those who have their own shotguns or have shot before, could be at the meet, but instead of shooting with the instructors on what's basically a introduction to shooting for £45

Those who wished could pair off into our own team, use our own guns and carts and buying own clays, but do the same and score a best of 35 clays so we can have a tea/coffee and look at the scores together later on Idea

With the meet been at 12pm, i noticed yesterday the shooting ground closes at 1:30pm

EDITED to add that I'm happy to keep to the planned day if needs be and if we need a minimum turn out Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Guys I’ll go with the flow, but will need to know numbers a week before the event , the chaps at Coniston are happy for people to bring along their own Guns, but I think they will still spilt us in to groups and provide an instructor for each group, as that’s what was agreed when I booked the day.

I have it on good authority that they will not change the currents arrangements unless sufficient quantities of the now famous North Yorkshire Scone are delivered before the event and assurances are given that regular supplies are guaranteed( they are more than happy for me to take delivery on their behalf Whistle )
