Hire car wing mirror

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ok, so Lloyd going back to TVLR so have enterprise purple disco4. Only thing is-it's wing mirror cover is missing! I know I'm going to have it until at least Wednesday... So what happens if it rains? There are wires and stuff exposed. I'm paranoid incase water damages the delicate workings of the mirror?
Anybody know if rain on the wingmirror when it has no cover will damage it? I'm guessing a whole new mirror assembly ain't gonna be cheap!
Cheers
MM

If it was missing and listed on the loan car sheet don't worry about it

If you had it go missing gaffer tape it up to be on the safe side Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Agree, if it was missing before you got it make sure that they stated this on the handover sheet before giving it to you.

Make shift solution til you get it back if you broke it (Everyone has to break/destroy a hire car once in their lives Mr. Green ) Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

It wasn't me Smile someone else did it and it's on the hand over sheet.
The wing mirror functions fine just has no cover. Hope if the car gets wet it still works! Would be just my luck if it caused the car to spontaneously combust!

No seriously it wasn't me. Someother tw Censored t stole it or broke it before delivery. The car has been abused quite sadly- blue paint on the leather and lipstick on the sun visor (ewwwwwwwwww)
Since I'm bigger than most boys and wrestle cows for a living any boy messing with my wheels is in trouble! Evil or Very Mad

I wasn't suggesting you broke it 'cos you said it was like that when you picked it up, and was documented as such.
If the electric elements don't work when it rains, take it back or move the glass by hand. Hire companies expect their cars to get damaged, that's why they pay high insurance premiums. Thumbs Up Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!
