About 5 year payback (although LPG is getting more and more expensive so maybe 4 years) . lets hope so as it cost as much as FL2 HSE Evil or Very Mad

but its more about saving 16 tonnes of carbon emmisions a year ( or what the environment agency will do to me if I dont Shocked ) At work

If we want to save the planet and reduce our carbon emmisions then we should all scrape our FL2's Shocked 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

scrap yours Andy, I'm keeping mine.

I've actually just paid a cheque to an agent to purchase 50t of CO2 credits (£146). Its a ridiculous thing to do with me getting a discount on the climate change levy applied to fuel bills. Who gets the revenue from these levies and carbon trading? does it go to some dictator somewhere in a 3rd world county so he can plant some imaginary trees???

Paying the £146 every two years and £100 a year to the agent allows me to receive £350 a year discount. Its all just a crazy paper trail, but can I opt out of it - no chance.
Sadly installing modern energy saving equipment only works for a year or two as they will set a new target figure based on the new improved figures Rolling Eyes .

whats so bad about CO2 anyway? plants love the stuff, At work

CG has invested in further planet saving equipment, reducing my annual carbon emissions by a further 15 tonnes. I've even been nominated to be green energy poultry farmer of the year. I wont know if I'm the winner until I attend the celebrated 'farmers weekly' awards presentation night.

Hey CG

What about converting the FL2 to run on Chicken s**t - plenty of supply - surely that would give a good carbon foot-print. 2002 Honda VFR800

Serious question CG, Is there a little bit of "green" reasoning behind it or is it just a financial decision based on payback Question
At £200 per seat at the awards I hope you win Shocked
Either way it's still good Thumbs Up

factors include, saving 50% gas saving, potentially saving 40,000+l lpg pa. but also warming the ventilation air mean that I can apply more ventilation so more oxygen to the birds

So it is a money saving way of improving chicken welfare whilst doing my bit to help the planet, It will make me more money, but in a socially acceptable way. happier higher quality chickens, reduced odours from the sheds, seriously reduced carbon foot print and a big reduction in ammonia emmisions.

Also recently installed LED lighting has reduced my lighting bill by 60%.
