How did you push back the piston when fitting the new pads?

Un do the brake fluid reservoir, i used a chisel which has a big flat balde, which pushes the piston back evenly, job done!! |

Piston pushing is more of a problem on cars with handbrakes sharing the disc you'd need to buy or make a tool to do it, no need on fl2 At work |

put some chocs or wheels blocks behind the front wheels then release your handbrake and away you go,you can then undo the reservoir cap under bonnet take wheel off and away you go ,you can use grips or clamps to push piston in and it should go in very easily due to having reservoir cap off but be careful not to cut or break the rubber seal.

Why not do a proper guide and Pinky the Hairdresser can make it a sticky. |

Yes, please do a full guide, it would be very useful. Are the fronts as easy?

Aparently. He does a fab blue rinse. The place to go to in Leeds. He's the norths answer to Teasy Weasy. Those fingers are like an artists brushes. When LPR supplied his motor, he gave all the staff a No.1. No cutting corners where he's concerned. |

Are you absolutely sure - I perceived from postings on here that Mr Pinks was a qualified manicurist, and, as in all matters I do like accuracy so dunroof could you please explicate. Or better still, perhaps Mr Pinks could once and for all issue an unambiguous annunciation of his current skill set status and put a stop these potentially opprobrious observations. |
