Just thought i'd tell you about the price my local dealer(hunters) was going to charge me for replacing the rear pads which was £180!! lol.
when i had picked myself up off the floor i inquired how much just for the pads...£47+vat lol when i had picked myself up off the floor once again i left with my sides killing me after laughing so much.
Went to my local motor factor and purchased a set of rear pads for my freel2 for the pricely sum of £17.05!!
now i know they are not genuine but they will last at least two years and they took 35mins to replace and i saved over £160 so
i don't care that they are not genuine and it makes me wonder who the dealers are trying to kid
hope this makes you think twice before telling the dealer to go ahead when they ring you tutting and saying these are in a very bad state and recommend we do them right now!!! tell em to go get.............

i have just replaced mine, piece of cake!! and you dont need to take the wheel off if you get the car hig enough of the ground!!

How did you push back the piston when fitting the new pads?

I've heard of various methods just wondering which is best.

Un do the brake fluid reservoir, i used a chisel which has a big flat balde, which pushes the piston back evenly, job done!!

Piston pushing is more of a problem on cars with handbrakes sharing the disc you'd need to buy or make a tool to do it, no need on fl2 At work

winner by default of the tractor vs caravan race

put some chocs or wheels blocks behind the front wheels then release your handbrake and away you go,you can then undo the reservoir cap under bonnet take wheel off and away you go ,you can use grips or clamps to push piston in and it should go in very easily due to having reservoir cap off but be careful not to cut or break the rubber seal.

Aparently. He does a fab blue rinse. The place to go to in Leeds. He's the norths answer to Teasy Weasy. Those fingers are like an artists brushes. When LPR supplied his motor, he gave all the staff a No.1. No cutting corners where he's concerned.
