Wing Mirror loose at hinge

I have had my first 57 XL for about a month and I am delighted with it. However, the passenger wing mirror has quite a bit of play at the hinge so it rattles annoyingly. Is it possible to tighten the fit and if so what is the best way of removing the cowls to avoid destroying any clips/fasteners? Is it possible to do this without removing the mirror assembly i.e. not remove the interior door trim etc. I have found a full replcement for £65 which seems reasonable but I would prefer to repair it if possible. Any advice would be gratefully received.
p.s. This site is excellent and helped me know what to look for before I bought my XS. - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.

I see what you mean but I don't think so. It is in the correct position and works perfectly well and folds in and out as it should. Or is there a cam which I need to reset to take up the slack? - 2007(57) XS Auto, Rimini Red, Alpaca Leather.
