You need Roof Rails: LR006608 or if you have the Panoramic Sun Roof installed then LR007220

And the Cross Bar Kit: LR002417

The dealers are spinning you a yarn Rolling Eyes
If you have no roof rails (Front to rear) at all, and you want to fit a roof box just on occasions then you need roof bars. They are simply a bar with a soft rubber foot at each end moulded to the contour of the roof just inboard of the door. A plate extends from each foot and clamps inbetween the top of the door.
Do a search for member AndyC to find his gallery, then picture 5 (or was it 6) you will see just the fella's you need. I would have posted the picture but I think Martins server is having the day off Rolling Eyes I'll try anyway.
If you have transport up to Leeds you can borrow mine for your holiday with pleasure Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up
I seem to remember that you can buy a kit to change them to lockable. Just below the Thule name on the very end of the bar you will see a round piece of plastic - I'm sure you remove that and slide in a (x4) lock.

Not lockable but a start.....

I have just purchased a set of ProRack Roof Bars which look fantastic. However, they have been a nightmare to fit as the brackets seem to make contact with the tops of the doors when fitted. Previously I have tried a Thule roofrack and the brackets which clamp to the roof look completely different (as you would expect from a different manufacturer) but they seem to match the profile of the roof better. I'll check with the supplier to make sure that I've been supplied the right brackets. They are K455 which seems to be right but the brackets themselves have a number 609 on them. Is there anyone out there who has had the same problem?
