Sunroof and the interior roof lining

Hello,

I've got my FL2 on order with the factory sunroof. I was advised by the dealer that a negative point of the factory sunroof is the interior lining. He said that Land Rover uses a shade cloth as oppose to having the original lining, and as such even though it blocks out light, it does not block heat as good. Is this true?

Thanks.

Yes it's. If you live in sunny parts of the world there are days when you would like sth that blocks sun completely. However this is the case only during periods of the day when the sun rays go straight through the roof (eg miday in Greece). Most of the times it shouldn't be a problem IMHO.

Just get a really dark tint on it, a good tint should help with the heat issues. You could even put on a tint that would not necessarily be legal on the windows. This is what I plan to do to mine anyway.

Dark tint sounds good but wouldn't the glass on the sunroof come tinted already?

The glass sunroof does not have much of a tint from the factory. I had both of mine tinted along with the front windows ... highly recommend it (done at my LR dealer)
