Denmark 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey
For crying out loud Landrover !

In summary - FL2 2.2 ordered start of August - with 3 "extra's" :

1) rear parking sensor (for the wife Rolling with laughter )
2) humidity control climate option (for the dog Rolling with laughter )
3) Cold Climate Pack (heated windscreen & washers).

And guess what - the vehicle arrives in Denmark missing the Cold Climate Pack, which can't be retro fitted due to the missing wiring loom Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

What to do ? Wait another 3-4 months for the one I originally ordered ?? Banging Head

Tell the LR dealer that the BMW/Volvo/Mercedes Benz dealer down the road is waiting for your phone call to confirm they can deliver their car in your spec at the end of the week.............................. or request that for compensation for the inconvenience of their incompetence you will accept the use of a TDv8 RRS or TDv8 FFRR for the entire period it takes for them to get the car you ordered into the dealership. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack
Gone - 2010MY FFRR TDv8 Stornoway and Ivory, Privacy - the pace of a TDv8 RRS, the incomparable grace of a Range Rover
Gone but will be missed- RRS Tdv8 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather
Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen
Defender 90 County HT in Epsom Green

Jimmy you would be mad mad MAD to accept the car without the cold climate pack especially as you live in a cold climate!!!! Defkalion who gets two or three days of condensation could be excused for the omission, but for you fella it is a must. I have used it twice in sunny Bedfordshire, and it has not frozen overnight yet!!!!!!!! Crying or Very sad

Jimmy,

I understand quite well how you feel. I ordered mine with xenon lights and got it without but with a heated windscreen instead.
Eventually, I excepted the car as it was - didn't pay for the heated windscreen though - as I couldn't stand another 4 months waiting...

I think you'ld need a heated windscreen most if your car is parked outside during cold nights. If not, airco helps a lot defogging the WS.
(and if indeed temperatures tend to increase, don't worry too much)...

Wait for the spec you wanted, I think the heated screen is worth the wait.

Go for compo and a free loan car till the dealer corrects the car, contact other dealers to see what they can do

A different colour in the spec you want might be the compromise you might have to make if another dealer has one,

I got my car with the cold climate pack which I'm gonna use for sth like 30 days each year (maybe a bit more if climate does not drastically change here in Greece). I believe that it depends on your idiosyncrasy... If I were you I would definitely wait for the proper car to arrive, 'cause if I didn't I would think of how great it would be to actually have all those extras, every day before going to sleep. Big Cry By the way do check that it works when you get it. How?... moist the whole windscreen - put your dealer sigh on it Whistle Rolling with laughter - and turn on the heated windscreen. I just found out now that mine is problematic (that too) now that it's in for all the repairs (see other posts).
