Having just got our FL2 back from it's repairs, was thinking about whether I should apply some sort of rust-proofing to the only giveaway spot under the rear wheel arch where you can just see the join for the new rear quarter panel skin. Anyone got any ideas what to use? Not sure Waxoyl is appropriate for this. Bilthamber look like they make some good corrosion proofing products but it implies that you really need to be a professional to apply them without poisoning yourself.

Repair should be to manufacturers standard or anti corrosion warranty may be invalid. All FL2's (3) Gone

I use this company (not necessarily the cheapest) a lot and can vouch for the Dinitrol rust converter product and his proprietary chassis paint, although I must admit I haven't used their underbody wax products yet (planned this summer for my 90).

Should we rely on the under body rust protection provided by Landrover? The reason I ask is that my previous,and first FL2, a 2007 S was starting to show signs of rust on the suspension arms, engine undertray, etc. Is the underside covered by the corrosion warranty?

it should have been done by the bodywork repairers- take it back.

Suspension and other non bodywork will always , to some degree, corrode. As long as it is surface stuff it will be fine.

Years ago, I remember people used to coat the underside of their cars with old chip shop fat, oh how times have changed.

Yes. Now they stick it in the fuel tank!
