When I took my FL1 in for a service they loaned me a FL2 - which is why I have my own today! Clever.....
.... I think you're just avoiding lusting after a Mazda 3.

No fear of lusting after a mazda, won't tow the caravan! The only courtesy car I've lusted after was when I used to have an A4 and I got an A6 3.0ltr TDi Quattrofor the day, soooo nice!

Good day Quagmire. Just a suggestion if they havent yet found a problem.
The next time it does it, drive straight to the dealer and dont switch off the engine till they have put the test kit( computor) on and looked for the fault code. My dealer told me long ago that if there are unexplainable messages re a possible fault and nothing is found by the test kit then it is possible that the computor has " noted a fault initially, checked it again and found that there wasnt a fault, then because the last check found no fault it removes the first message from the system"
Difficult to understand I know. However thats the advice he gave me.
Hope you have some luck with it.
Cheers

It may be unrelated but I reported a traction control fault at last week's service. I get significant wheel spin in some off road situations.

The dealer reported that were no fault codes shown so he couldn't do anything. After some discussion we have agreed that he will test the car near home where I can replicate the fault and then take it for correction.

The fault may only be on the right front wheel as I've had a rear in the air without apparent problem.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

I was back at the dealer again. I had the same issue last weekend and took a picture of the dash with the error up. This time, they did a more in-depth examination and said they found a service bulletin discussing the problem. They replaced the Haldex sensor and said if the problem comes back, they'll replace the Haldex unit itself.

I guess they had to do their due diligence, so I didn't say "I told you so". Hopefully this resolves the problem. The wife is getting upset waking up and finding the car missing. It's prompted her to start eying up a minivan as a replacement vehicle. NOOOOOOO!!!

Quagmire, they didn't happen to tell you the service bulletin number or when it was from did they? Mine is in today and it would be useful to know when I pick it up and they say there's nothing wrong with it.......again!

Hi Chris, the service bulletin is SSM34584. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks Quagmire.

To be fair to them they had replaced the Haldex Sensor yesterday. It appears it is becoming a more widely know solution.

Now if they can sort out the vibration when accelerating I'd be really pleased!
